The Israel “Defense” Forces (IDF) have killed 140 people in Gaza in the past 24 hours, reports Reuters with local health officials as sources. The Reuters Daily Briefing newsletter says, according to some Palestinians in the Gaza strip who said their plight was being forgotten because the public attention shifted to the war between Israel and Iran.
At least 40 of the killed persons in the past day have died as a result of Israeli gunfire and airstrikes, a statement of the Gaza’s health ministry said. Reuters reported near daily killings of Palestinians, who were seeking aid since Israel partially lifted a total blockade on the territory.
On Tuesday, Gaza’s health ministry said 397 Palestinians among those trying to get food aid had been killed and more than 3,000 wounded since aid deliveries restarted in late May.
